PEI-Genesis executives pride themselves on the speedy service and variety of products the company provides. The connector and power suppy specialist "can consistently deliver finished connectors from component stock in less than 48 hours," according to a promotional statement on its Web site. PEI-Genesis also offers value-added services. OEMs can tap its field application engineers for information and assistance on connector and power products in a service that is mainly offered on a complimentary basis to customers, PEI-Genesis said.

While time-to-market for connector products is an important differentiator, executives at PEI-Genesis also point to an extensive selection of connectors, including parts from Alden Pulse-Lok, a manufacturer of connectors used in the medical and instrumentation industry. Additionally, PEI-Genesis is one of the largest distributors of ITT-Cannon and Amphenol connectors. And it has added ITT's VEAM CIR series of multipin circular connectors to its product range, having begun offering the connectors with PEI's 48-hour assembly service in September.

PEI-Genesis stocks $38 million worth of inventory and says its customers can reduce production downtime by receiving components when they are needed. The company also says it improves productivity by offering customers a 24-hour response for quotations, and lowers the cost of doing business by offering among the most competitive prices in the industry.

PEI-Genesis distributes products in Europe, Latin America and the United States.
