ON Semi adds 30 IP blocks to portfolio

SANTA CLARA, Calif.—Chip vendor ON Semiconductor Monday (March 16) added more than 30 blocks to its IP portfolio, including blocks for industry-standard interfaces, microcontrollers and peripherals.

Potential customers for the new IP operate across a variety of industry sectors and application areas including military and aerospace, networking and wireless communications, consumer electronics, automotive and industrial automation, ON Semi (Chandler, Ariz.) said.

Among the IP blocks being added to ON Semi's portfolio are solutions for industry-standard high-speed interfaces, such as USB 2.0, Ethernet, PCMCIA and PCI, ON Semi said. A variety of microcontroller and peripheral options will also be available, according to the company.
