LONDON EDA startup Elastix Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.), which is pioneering the use of variable clocking as an asynchronous means of improving classically designed circuits, has jobs for R&D and applications engineers based in Barcelona, Spain, according to its website.
The R&D engineers need to be proficient C/C++ programmers as they will be architecting and developing EDA software. They should have either a Ph.D in computer science or electronic engineering or an M.Sc and two years industry experience.
The application engineers are expected to work with customers. Responsibilities include helping customers run Elastix tools, help develop design flows including Elastix tools, develop utilities for troubleshooting and debugging problems, and work with the R&D engineers to bring new products and features to market.
Candidates don't have to have second degrees, although it may help. Candidates should have an EDA or chip design experience and experience working with customers as well as being proficient in scripting languages such as Perl and tcl.
