PARIS — Yamaichi Electronics unveils a new high frequency connector, the HF201 series consists of a one or two-pin plug connector and an insulating body on the cable side.

The plug connector is SMT solder mounted on the PCB. Inside the insulating body is one inner and one outer contact which are crimped to the coax cable.

The connector system has very small outer dimensions and thus can be used for antennas, sensors or audio systems, in which high technical requirements have to be fulfilled with components having dimensions as small as possible.

A locking between plug connector and jack ensures the best transmission characteristics also when exposed to shock and vibration stress, e.g. in vehicles. The extraction force goes up to 40N.

The HF201 system is suited for high frequency applications up to 2.5 GHz and is designed for coaxial cables up to 50 Ohm. The suitable cables can have a diameter of either 1 or 1.5mm.

Naturally Yamaichi also offer the necessary tools as for example a semi-automatic crimp tool for the coax cable crimp.

Apart from this HF connector other high speed connector systems are available from Yamaichi Electronics, e.g. for the transmission of LVDS, HDMI or FireWire signals.
