BOARDS: Eurotech develops i7-based COM Express board

LONDON — The Adbc8031 from Eurotech (Amaro, Italy ) is a COM Express (Type 2) embedded board based on the Intel Core i7 processor and Mobile Intel QM57 Express chipset and is targeted for applications requiring high-end computing and graphics capabilities.
The Intel Hyper-Threading technology allows four threads to be run simultaneously to improve performance while reliability is improved using error correction code (ECC) support with ECC-supported memory for reduced data and memory errors.
The range of I/O include SATA ports, Gigabit Ethernet, PCI Express, while the operating system options include Windows 7, Windows Embedded Standard 2009, and Wind River Linux 3.0.
The Adbc8031 is due to be available in the first quarter of 2010.
