XceedLite PATA 1.8-in. SSD operates from +3.3 to +5 VDC and typically draws 80mA current in read, 70mA in write, and 9mA in passive mode. Applications include tablet PCs, ruggedized notebooks, embedded computing, industrial applications, and medical equipment
SMART's XceedLite PATA SSD supports 8-bit or 16-bit data register transfers, and up to programmed input/output (PIO) Mode 6, Multi-Word direct memory access (DMA) Mode 4, and Ultra DMA Mode 5. For greater versatility, lower weight, and reduced overall footprint, the XceedLite PATA SSD is also available without its rugged 70.60 x 53.60 x 2.59 mm enclosure.
Designed to industrial grade specifications, the XceedLite PATA SSD leverages advanced on-board error detection and correction algorithms, combined with static and dynamic wear-leveling techniques, to ensure years of reliable operation.
By using only single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash technology instead of multi-level cell (MLC) technology, SMART said it increased the reliability of its XceedLite PATA SSD by 10X and speed by 2X. SMART industrial grade flash products are also available with an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
