ServerWorks, a Broadcom subsidiary, is an independent supplier of high-performance SystemI/O integrated circuits for server, storage, and workstation platforms. The company has designed and developed four generations of its SystemI/O logic, which balances the CPU, memory and I/O subsystems for server, storage and workstation platforms to provide a high-level of performance and throughput. Unlike a client computer architecture, which is dominated by the CPU, server, storage, and workstation platforms need highly tuned core logic to provide the high bandwidth, high performance and superior reliability, availability and scalability (RAS) that customers demand.
