Illuminated switch delivers life cycles to 1 million actuations

Newton, Mass.—C&K Components has developed a sealed pushbutton switch with life cycles to 1 million actuations. Designated the AP Series, the SPST, normally open, momentary action switch is sealed to IP67 specifications and is available in illuminated and non-illuminated versions.

The AP Series switches are available with multiple mounting styles, including threaded or snap-in mounting. Applications range from harsh environments such as industrial, off-road and transportation applications, to medical and military equipment, and gaming devices.

The AP Series switches are available with multiple colored caps (including black, red, orange, yellow and green), allowing users to order one base switch with multiple color caps to meet application-specific needs. Total travel is 2.3mm, with a standard actuation force of 4N (2N force is optional) and logic level current through 2A. Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C.
