Irish power management startup plans expansion, say reports

The company has announced the availability of its first product, the PV3002 automatic digital power-conversion IC, which the company claims can deliver energy savings of up to 30 percent at the system-level.
The company is reported to be claiming to have signed a number of contracts in the computing, storage and server areas.
The company, which has been backed by Intel Capital, Scottish Equity Partners, Venture Tech Alliance, Fourth Level Ventures and Enterprise Ireland, has offices in Palo Alto, California and Taipei, Taiwan. It currently employs 35 people worldwide with 25 based in Limerick, the report said
The company was spun out from the Circuits & Systems Research Center at the University of Limerick in 2006, where applied research in the area has been ongoing since 2001.
