It never fails--as soon as you buy a new globe for your child, another country is annexed, or changes its name. On Tuesday, March 31, all of that changes when TechOnline and Teardown TV's Allan Yogasingam conducts a live teardown of this amazing state-of-the-art globe.

The SmartGlobe is the first Internet updatable model of the earth. Whenever changes happen through renaming, annexation, or when countries split or reunite, SmartGlobe updates immediately.

Although the globe is designed to be an educational experience for children, the real education at this ESC teardown will be to see what's inside, how did the creators do it? What challenges were overcome? Is anything here that might be important knowledge for your own designs? You may be surprised.
