Rom debugger for ARM derivatives
Using the TRACE32 software interface, the TRACE32-ROM monitor debugger works with all ARM derivatives. The monitor routine can be programmed into either TRACE32-EPROM/FLASH simulator or into the target FLASH. When using the TRACE32-EPROM/FLASH simulator, connection to the host computer takes place via parallel, USB, or ethernet. The host can be a PC, notebook or workstation. If the program is in the target flash, communication can take places via a serial link or a .DLL file generated by the user. This enables connection to the host via other hardware or proprietary communications protocols. Thus, users work in systems without a JTAG port as well as with the ARM derivatives, such as StrongARM SA1100 or the ARM8, that do not have a debug interface. The monitor features "Lightspeed" download technology. It's available now.
