Compact PCI controller

The CP301 is a CompactPCI system controller designed for applications that do not require a monitor, keyboard, or mouse, and for space-limited applications. The single-slot 4HP board provides front panel I/O, including two serial channels and a Fast Ethernet interface. The CP301 utilizes the 440BX chipset and offers a selectable processor performance range between 400MHz and 700MHz. It features 64-bit PCI, Fast Ethernet, and PC interfaces (including optional support for M-Systems' DiskOnChip), PMC expansion, a peripheral master version for multiprocessing, integrated 2.5-in. HD/flash drive, and a rear I/O version with selectable transition modules. System memory support may be expanded to 384MB with an optional 256MB SODIMM. It may also be configured for remote boot via LAN using either DHCP or BOOTP protocols. The CP301 is available now for $2,550.

1GB SBC

The VMIVME-7697A single-board computer includes features such as 128MB flash, battery-backed SRAM, three 32-bit timers, up to 192MB compact flash, and a software-selectable watchdog timer. Additional features include 8MB to 192MB bootable flash on secondary IDE, three programmable 32-bit timers, remote Ethernet booting, PMC mezzanine expansion site, VMEbus interrupt handler and system controller, and passive heat sink. Configurable SBC

The Mariner II C158 single-board computer is available with three processor options: Celeron, Coppermine-128, and Coppermine-256. The Celeron, equipped with 128KB of on-chip cache operates at speeds up to 500MHz. The Coppermine-128 and 256 are equipped with up to 256KB on-chip cache and operate at up to 1GHz. The Mariner II C158 provides 512MB of field-upgradeable SODIMM main memory, a 10BaseT and 100Base-TX Ethernet interface, and dual Ultra DMA-33 hard drive interfaces. It also features a pair of USB ports, two serial ports, a printer port, a floppy port, mouse/keyboard interfaces, and up to 144MB of DiskOnChip flash, which can be configured as a bootable drive for diskless systems. The Mariner's five PMC slots provide a means of adding plug-and-play communications graphics, mass storage, and industrial I/O options. Two of the slots are mounted directly on the card, and three more can be added by plugging a three-slot module into a PMC expansion connector. The Mariner's external I/O is accessed by means of the front panel. The Mariner also provides an 80mm transition I/O module to support rear-panel I/O. It offers a System Health Monitor that reports critical operating parameters such as processor temperature, on-board voltages, and fan speed to the operating system. The Mariner features Power On Self Test diagnostics, which with dual binary LEDs. The LEDs convey the status of 50 tests that are performed each time power is applied to the board. The Mariner II C158 single-board computer is available now for $1,995.
