WiSpry tunable RF-MEMS devices enable the development of reconfigurable RF front-ends. WiSpry, founded in 2002, creates MEMS-based RF architectures and has recently begun shipping products to a mobile handset manufacturer.
The patent enables handset RF performance to be adapted dynamically to achieve fewer dropped calls, increased talk time and better battery life, WiSpry claimed.
"As we move into high volume production, it is imperative we continue to obtain protection for the key technology that enables our breakthrough product roadmap." said Jeff Hilbert, president and COO of WiSpry, in a statement.
