SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Altera Corp. has announced a settlement of its patent litigation with Zilog Inc.

Under the terms, Zilog made a one-time payment of an undisclosed amount to Altera. Both parties agreed to dismiss their pending patent infringement lawsuits. All other terms of the agreement are confidential.

Last year, FPGA house Altera filed a suit against Zilog Inc. for patent infringement.

The lawsuit, filed in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleged that some of Zilog's newest products, including the Zilog eZ80F91 MCU series and ZNEO CPU Z16F series, infringed upon various Altera patents. Altera was seeking monetary damages, an injunction and attorney's fees.
