The purpose of this article is to help engineers use the Texas Instruments (TI) ISO72xx family of digital isolators to design galvanically isolated systems in the shortest time possible. The article explains the basic operating principle of the TI isolator, suggests where to place it within a system design, and recommends guidelines for an electro-magneticcompatible (EMC) circuit-board design.
