This document describes various methodologies to access processor temperature data reported by the on-die DTS (Digital Temperature Sensor). It also discusses PECI (Platform Environmental Control Interface) and its role in CPU thermal management. Another focus is the 45nm processor as the DTS and PECI technology is refined every generation.
