Design problems are too often traced back to poor systems requirements. It is common knowledge that being able to produce unambiguous and validated specifications is vital, not only because system complexity constantly increases, but also because of time to market and cost constraints. In this paper a methodology for system design, development, and integration will be presented. The case study focuses on the design of a Train Protection System to be manufactured by Siemens Transportation.
