Suppressing MOSFET Gate Ringing in Converters: Selection of a Gate Resistor
Fairchild Semiconductor
Technology Paper
March 2003
To prevent gate ringing, while not harming efficiency, Fairchild recommends careful board layout, and use of a 4.7-Ohm gate resistor for every power MOSFET used in a switching converter; in particular, use a separate 4.7-Ohm gate resistor for each paralleled MOSFET.
