Implications of Digital Control and Management for a High Performance Isolated DC/DC Converter

The implementation of digital control substantially reduces the space required compared to an identical analogue control solution. This is illustrated by the implementation of a digital controller in an existing intermediate bus converter design. The result is a product with the same power density as an intermediate bus converter, all the functionality of a fully regulated converter, and the configurability of a digital design.
