Teaching Digital Signal Processing Using PSpice
International Conference on Engineering Education

Circuit design is a combination of many factors: an understanding of circuit theory, an intuitive design sense, and an engineering problem-solving ability. PSpice helps students to address these factors, and this white paper explores a method for teaching digital signal processing (DSP). Traditionally, DSP has been introduced to students using Matlab/Simulink; this white paper demonstrates the effectiveness of using PSpice as an alternative introductory learning tool. Many topics, such as artificial neural networks, reverb/echo production, and many other applications not normally associated with PSpice, can be investigated using this software.
