Today's intelligent, ARM-Powered devices have become data-intensive computing systems; that is, systems that must manage increasing amounts of complex data from both inside and outside the device. To meet today's embedded data management challenges, a new generation of high-performance data management technologies have emerged. These technologies enable data-centric development approaches that are more appropriate for today's application development issues. This article highlights ten ways in which a more data-centric approach can streamline embedded software development while optimizing resource usage.
