Understanding the MCP250XX Devices

This application note discusses the operation of the MCP250XX and details some of the features and capabilities of the device that are not normally discussed in the data sheet. The note assumes familiarity with the MCP250XX data sheet (DS21664); however, some discussion may be repeated. Together with the data sheet, this application note will provide the information needed to fully understand Microchip's CAN I/O expander solution.
