Programmable Lead Acid Battery Charger

This application note describes the 16HV785 Programmable Lead Acid Battery Charger, which provides an unprecedented level of configurability for charging lead battery packs. The 16HV785's precise, 10-bit Analog-to-Digital converter and high-frequency Pulse-Width Modulator enable the device to provide optimum control of charging algorithms for lead battery chemistries. The 16HV785 can be configured as either a Switch mode or a linear charger.
