Bluetooth is a new, short-range radio technology employed in place of cabling. It is already being implemented in a variety of devices, such as mobile phones, hands-free equipment, personal digital assistants (PDAs), global positioning system (GPS) receivers, and printers. This application note provides a brief overview of the fundamental parameters and concepts of Bluetooth. It also covers new developments in Bluetooth technology, including Enhanced Data Rate.
