Consumers will soon be able to purchase UWB enabled products, adding wireless multimedia to their homes. Indeed, market analyst firm Allied Business Intelligence predicts total global shipments of ultra-wideband-based electronics and chipsets could reach a staggering 45.1 million units by 2007.

As UWB begins deployment in 2004 and 2005, consumers will increasingly benefit from this technology's unique approach to seamless wireless connectivity as their wires and cables disappear from DVDs, TVs, laptops, camcorders and more.
