DPM is a technology where the frequencies and voltages of the system and other power consuming features are dynamically changed based on a system-wide policy and the changing demands of the applications being utilized. This paper will focus on the DPM changes for Linux Kernal version 2.6, as evolved from DPM for 2.4.
