Embedded Real Time Techniques for Calculating CPU Utilization

Many theories and guidelines exist which dictate how burdened a processor should be at its most loaded state. This paper will include discussion on the merits of these guidelines, and will present several techniques that can be used to discern how much CPU throughput an embedded application is consuming. This information can be used to verify the system software design relative to a maximum processor load.
