In general, Bluetooth technology provides a standardized protocol for portable devices to establish communications with local area networks on an ad hoc basis. As Bluetooth modules come into and leave the physical presence of a local Bluetooth piconet, the local network establishes and deletes connections as needed. As users are on the move from on location to another, Bluetooth technology can keep users wirelessly connected to the resources they need.
