The market for products using DSP technology is growing rapidly, and manufacturers have responded to increased demand by producing an expanding array of DSPcapable processors. System designers now have a wide variety of choices when selecting a processor to use in a DSP-intensive application. An important component of the selection process is determining whether a processor has sufficient DSP performance for the target application.
