Microsoft Windows CE 3.0 is the company's latest operating system targeting embedded devices. This upgrade is the most important in the short history of this operating system, since it includes kernel features that drastically improve real-time support, among other improvements. This paper presents an overview of the new features to be found in Windows CE 3.0 and the development steps to build Windows CE 3.0-based embedded systems.
