Distributed Configuration Management of Large Software Projects

The EWU software development and test environment is separated into groups, projects, divisions, product units and business units. ClearCase and MultiSite are used, throughout Ericsson, as the preferred software configuration management tool. This paper describes the current software development architecture within Ericsson Wireless Communications (EWU) and provides an overview of EWU's ClearCase/MultiSite Environment, Base Station Controller ClearCase configuration and usage, and BSC test usage of ClearCase.
