Improving the Teaching and Learning of Fundamentals of Analysis and Design of Digital Systems

Professional environments of digital design, such as ORCAD, Electronic Workbench, and Xilinx, are widely used in the teaching of digital systems to reinforce lesson concepts. This paper explains why these environments do not lend themselves well to instructional use and underscores the value of a new and more practical environment for digital systems called BOOLE-DEUSTO.
