The second part of our series describes a simulation-based methodology for designing FlexRay network topologies within the physical layer.
Authors Thorsten Gerke of Synopsys and Thomas Suermann of NXP Semiconductors argue that physical layer basics and signal integrity provide the foundation for simulation-based development and validation of FlexRay systems.
They describe a series of simulation scenarios and provide some potential worst-case scenarios, concluding that simulating the FlexRay physical layer is essential for ensuring high-quality topology implementations.
